14th February 2018, Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Inter-District Sub-Junior Girls Championship which was held at Jalgaon successfully concluded on Wednesday evening. Mumbai District emerged as the winners after breezing past Pune District 4-0 in the final, courtesy of Mehek Lobo’s spectacular hat-trick.
Throughout the Championship, Mumbai District had always looked like a serious contender alongside Pune District. Ironically, both the districts had recorded a whopping 12-0 victory in the knockout stages which created an insane hype just before the final.
