Putting up a solid fighting display, 7B Star overcame Maverick Sports Club by a narrow 2-1 margin in a well-contested Third Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2013-14, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday. Shabbir Shaikh and Nimesh P scored a goal each for the winners, while Maverick SC got their goal through Aditya Paranjpe.
In another match, Los Galasticos SC blanked FC Chincholi 2-0. M. Fernandes and Siddharth Suvarna netted the goals for the winning team.
