Maharashtra took on Bihar in their opening game of 49th National Junior Championship for Dr. BC Roy Trophy at Bokaro today. Maharashtra came back from being two goals down to beat Bihar 3-2 and registered their first win.
Bihar went 2-0 up in the opening twenty minutes of the game. Maharashtra managed to pull a goal back with Captain Ebad Ansari scoring from the penalty spot. The score at Half-Time was 2-1 in favor of Bihar.
Maharashtra equalized in the 60th minute with winger Ashotosh Bane getting on the score sheet. The comeback was completed about ten minutes before time when Advait Shinde slotted home.
They now take on Nagaland on 21st September.
