Kolhapur hosted the third edition of the Coach Education Scholarship Programme between 8th to 11th November 2021 with support from Western India Football Association and FIFA LOC.
Under the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022™ legacy program, the E-License coaching course was conducted aiming to educate and develop more female coaches at the grassroots level. 24 coaches were a part of the program and the aspiring coaches were trained the theoretical and practical aspects of the game.
“We aim to empower more women coaches who aspire to make a career in football. This is our endeavor to support them and help start their coaching career with us. We wish all the participants best for their future ambitions” said Souter Vaz, Hon. General Secretary, Western India Football Association
This program has previously been conducted in Mumbai and Pune. In all three editions, the participants have displayed enthusiasm to suggest increased participation from women in the coming times.
