Western India Football Association (WIFA) ties-up with Hiranandani Hospital to help sportspersons get discounted medical expenses.
Often times, injuries and the subsequent medical expenses has become a major disheartening factor for young footballers leading to many giving up the sport.
To quell this worry, WIFA has collaborated with one of the top hospitals of the city – Hiranandani Hospital, to provide city footballers struggling with injuries get discounted medical expenses. This initiatives aims at having city footballers get access to best medical treatments at reasonable prices.
Recently on 3rd of August, WIFA in collaboration with Hiranandani hospital had conducted a seminar on ‘Sports Injuries: Prevention, treatment & Rehabilitation’. Hiranandani CEO Sujit Chatterjee and his Doctors Ms. Richa Anand, Dr. Roli Dave, Dr. Austin Fernandes and Dr. Aditya Sai talked about various fitness related topics ranging from the importance of following proper diet, Rehab pointers, recovery process after injuries to assisting in comeback after suffering mental or physical setbacks that a footballers faces during his playing career.
Talking about the collaboration, WIFA CEO Henry Menezes stated, “The Hiranandani Sports Sciences center is well equipped for sports rehabilitation and a tie up with them will greatly benefit players in the region.”
