A total of 22 AFC ‘C’ License coaches from across India are keenly learning the latest coaching methods under the supervision of AFC coaching instructor Savio Madeira at the AFC ‘B’ License Coaching Course, here, in Mumbai. The coaching course is being organized by the Western India Football Association (WIFA) under the aegis of All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and conducted at the Cooperage Football Stadium, Mumbai.
Former India assistant coach Savio Madeira is putting the ‘B’ License aspirant through their paces during the theoretical and practical sessions conducted daily. The course will continue till October 29.
Coaches associated in different capacities with Mumbai FC, Kenkre FC, Air India, Bharat FC are attending the course. Mumbai FC Manager, Henry Picardo, Kenkre FC Under-18 coach, Akhil Kothari, Air India conditioning coach, Simon Pascal D’Souza and Air India defender Santosh Koli are some of the coaches from Mumbai who are attending the classes to try and enhance their coaching experience and successfully complete the course.
Disha Malhotra, CEO and Head Coach of Foot and Ball, is the lone women participant from New Delhi, who is also aspiring for a ‘B’ License.
