Yuva Sena leader, Shri Aditya Thackeray, Chairman of MDFA inaugurated the tournament during a colourful opening ceremony. Also present on the occasion was WIFA Hon. Gen. Secretary, Souter Vaz, WIFA CEO, Henry Menezes, MDFA President, Digambar Khandalkar and other MDFA Executive Committee members.
