Mervin scored a hat-trick as Maharashtra hit Daman & Diu for one less than a double figure in a remarkable game.

Maharashtra let Daman & Diu dominate for the starting 8 minutes before Mervin scored the 1^st goal in the 9^th minute. He added another in the 23^rd minute to put the game out of their reach.
As the game opened up, Maharashtra scored two more goals from Abhishek in the 26^th minute and Wayne in the 40^th minute to take a healthy 4-0 before the half time whistle.

Second half started in a similar fashion with Maharashtra adding a 5^th goal in the 50^th minute through Shrikant Veeramallu. Mervin completed his hat – trick in the 63^rd minute with a fine finish. Harold Fernandes added the 7^th and 8^th goal in the 70^th and 75^th minute respectively. Rayneir completed the rout with a 9^th goal in the 89^th minute to record an impressive win.
