The Western India Football Association has opened up the Cooperage Football ground for training sessions to First &
Second Division I-League Clubs, as well as Maharashtra’s Elite Division Clubs.
The first training session was held by Mumbai FC yesterday. The full squad of players was present along with Head Coach Khalid Jamil, Manager Henry Picardo and other support staff.
The Manager was pleased on his team’s return to Cooperage after a long period of time. “It feels great to train at our home ground where we will be playing our matches. For the last three years we have not come to Cooperage and now that we are back, it feels great. “
“We want to thank WIFA for giving us a chance to train, especially during the time when it is pouring in Mumbai” added Henry as they wound up their training session.
