Hard-working Shastri Nagar FC enjoyed a good outing as they romped to a fluent 4-1 victory over Prince FC in a Third Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2013-14, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Monday. Steve Vergheese, Nikhil Singh, Rinaldo Fernandes and John Pereira all contributed a goal each for the winning side. For Prince FC the lone goal was scored by Suffiyan Ansari.
In another match of the same division, Parshan FC played out an exciting 2-2 draw with Dahisar United Boys. Nitesh Pathare and Nirmal Kabre were on target for Parshan, while the Dahisar team got their goals through Ganesh Shelkar and Chinmay Kamat to share the spoils.
