Venue – St Xaveris High School & Jr College, Sector 3 Nerul.

Grassroots development league was conducted by S.P football Academy for the 3rd time. It was started in the month of August 2017, it’s been almost 6 month that the league is been played on every Saturday – Sundays and on Public holidays. The aim and objective of conducting this Grassroots league for longer period is that SPFA understands that this is the right age group which requires maximum match exposure, which we have tried to give the budding talent.

It was a drastic improvement of the players / teams from the game one till date, every participant of the grassroots development league have got an exposure – opportunity to show case and improve their talent since last six months.

There was no Charges charged to the teams for participation it was free.

  • SPFA Grassroots Development league was Started on 20th August 2017 and the Finals was played today on 26th January 2018
  •  Total 36 Teams from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Raigad and Thane Participated.
  •  With – 568 players participating.
  • SPFA Grassroots development League and Super Cup total 212 Matches were played.
  •  Auxiliary Cup total 15 knockout games were played.
  • Total 89 Penalty shootout were conducted were all the 10 players got an opportunity to take a penalty kick,
  • In Total – 227 Matches were Played & 89 Penalty Shootout Were Conducted from 20 August to 26th January 2018

Results

Prizes – Participation Certificate were given to all the participating teams and Merit Certificate with Individual award and gift were given along with the team Championship trophies to the winners.

Elite –SPFA Super Cup

Winners – SPFA St Xaviers High School Nerul – 8 (Scorer – Viraj Patil 3,Harsh Kadam 2, Raj Panchali 1, Mayur Morya 1, Airb Shiekh 1 )
They defeated Fr Agnel Multipurpose School Vashi with 8 Goals to 2.
Runner-up – Fr Agnel Multipurpose School Vashi – 2 (Scorer – Regan Pereira 1, Saarim Khan)

Ms Shruti Nair and Ms Annanya Gupta of Aquila FC Kalyan were felicitated by the organisers with a momentous to motivate Lady coach in the game of Football.
